His mother fondly recalls their home being decorated with early works of art. As he grew older, his passion for art only intensified. He then went on to taking art classes in high school and immersed himself in the study of various art forms. Even being accepted into the American Academy of Art of Chicago, it was a defining moment in his life that reaffirmed his belief in his talent. However, Damien did not attend the academy due to financial hardships, yet he continued to work on his craft and further refined his unique style. Damien’s journey took a significant turn when he was offered an opportunity to take on a tattoo apprenticeship in Corpus Christie, Texas in early 2000. After his apprenticeship, Damien worked in a slew of tattoo parlors during his career from the West Coast to the Midwest, and even owning his own studio in Northwest Indiana.
